Key Fob Remote

Post by drafter55 »

The unlock mechanism using the key fob is not working correctly. If the upper trunk is closed, the unlock solenoid does not work. However if the lid is partially open, then the solenoid unlocks. I also determined if either of the latches are closed, the solenoid works. However if both are latched, solenoid does not work.

The red call button for the horn does not work, though not concerned about that.

Fresh battery in the remote and have reprogrammed several times. I can hear the receiver clicking so I know the remote and receiver are "talking" to each other.

Any ideas or hints would be appreciated.
Thanks

Sounds like more a of mechanical issue than an electronic issue. Have you cleaned and lubricated the locking mechanism on the trunk?
