Hi!
This may be a dumb question, but I have not been able to figure out the location of oil pump in GL1800 engine. There is plenty of docs about virtually every other component of this engine, except oil pump. Any pointers? Also how to remove it (would be my next question)..
Thanks!

I FlyingFinn
The oil pump is in the base of the engine.
Go see at this address, I know the manual is for 2001 and 2002, but the pump is in the same place for all the engines that I know of.

Re: Location of oil pump in GL1800?
Unlike the Wings before it, which had a scavenge pump at buried in the back of the engine and a relatively easily-accessed pressure pump at the front, the GL1800 has a single pressure pump, which is located in the sump, deep in the engine. The engine has to be split and the transmission mainshaft has to be removed to access it.
