We have discovered an annoying beep beep in the intercom system, it seem to go off every 5 mins. Seem like an alert or reminder. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Been googling this for months can't seem to find an answer.
thanks,

What you hear is the ABS performing a diagnostic test. It'll do it several times while riding. There's no way to turn it off that I know of.

Information for any newcomer that hear the mysterious 5 beeps from the radio or Intercom.
I got 5 beeps with a few repeats one night. I searched the Internet and found nothing that explained the cause.
I then read the manual for my GL1800 2009. In the radio section it says that: when the received signal where to low to receive traffic messages 5 beeps will be heard.

Like keyboard says. You might be hearing the ABS system doing its self check. However, I would call it a screech and not a beep. If you put a timer on it, it will be very consistent, and you should be able to feel a slight "click feel" in both the rear brake, and hand brake levers. To feel that, you'll have to have pressure applied to the levers. On some Wings, the clicking is hardly noticeable, while on others more pronounced.
If indeed it is the ABS doing its self check. It can be timed. On the 2001-05s it occurs about every 90 seconds. On the 2006-17 about every 3 mins. To test, start and roll fast enough for the ASB light to go off. After the ABS light goes off, from that point on you can start timing.
