I just bought my first wing. I am replacing a super tall windshield and ran into trouble. My service manual hasn't arrived and I am lost! When I put my OEM on it Won't move up or down. In the pics you will see the shield and the slots. I don't remember if the sits all the way down or up in the slots. I found this brassy piece just laying there...which I have No idea where it goes or what it is! Can anyone identify this?

I had the same problem as you and I broke my parry, yes there are two solutions.
You have two pictures, one for each solution.
The part you ave going to inside the U-shaped room you're parrying.
