A6 power feed for Sat Nav

Post by 12pots »

Hi all, this is my first post after recently purchasing a 2007 A6

Just about to hard wire my Zumo 590LM and wondering if there is an easy access power feed rather than run the Garmin harness back to the battery, I currently have the LH storage box removed, the previous owner had already provided a 3.5mm jack which is connected into the harness via a a OEM plug, there is an unused 2 pin red plug in the same location contained in the same rubber boot which looks a possibility?

Thanks

Alan

The red plug is switched 12 volts. On and off with the key.
