want to paint shelter

Post by m2102 »

I've been thinking about painting the shelter where ignition/ meter panel is. It is a grey dingy color and would like to paint it with RUSTOLEUM truck bed textured paint. Besides making sure it is clean and dry is their something else i should do before painting?
The shelter is getting rub marks on it that starting to show the abs color under it. TIA

Figured it out. After painting. Little hard to tell but it is a bit darker. Actually same color black as surrounding black.

I removed the " mode, trip and display" before painting. Be careful when removing you don't drop a screw, don't ask how i know, lol.

Thanks, couldn't be happier. Quick back and forth sprays about 3 coats.
