Windshield

Post by rider595 »

I have a 2002 GL1800 with a F4 Customs Windshield. Has any had problems with the windshield having a blueish haze on the outside edges, and sometimes up the middle. I've cleaned the windshield before the ride, and it seems the haze comes back during the ride. Could the cooling system be leaking and the haze is coming from the radiator fluid?. The haze does not appear to have a oil feel. I had the bike in for repair and they had to flush the radiator fluid, but I'm think I had the problem prior to the repair. My next step is to try the F4 windshield cleaner, any suggestions. Thanks

I've had a F4 windshield for 3 1/2 years and have never experienced anything like that.

You might want to ask F4 Customs to find out if they've ever encountered something like that.

My 2002 has a F4, never experienced it or heard of it before.

My guess is your only seeing this haze while wearing polarized sunglasses? I got the same out of most stock windshields on bikes I've purchased. My 2002 GoldWing is no different. I've switched all my bikes to Clearview Windshields. No blueish yellow haze/rainbow with them while looking through them with polarized sun glasses.

BTW if you shop & compare the largest windshield Clearview offers is taller, wider then the F4+4 for far less money.
