Cb install on my 1800
I had a cb installed on my 1800. 5 days later i prepared to go for a short ride and my battery was dead. I jumped it and the display shows cb error. The installer asked me to unplug the ground on the battery wait 5 min and try. Same reading on display and the battery is dead as a door nail.. the battery is less than a year-old. I'm baffled

May be helpful to state if a Honda brand cb or another brand;
right now I'd unhook negative cable and charge up the battery and then see where you're at with proper voltage available to cb.
you may be needing to do a system draw test if battery fails again.

Re: Cb install on my 1800
It may be just a coincidence. The battery may have failed. Do as suggested above, and try it. It would not be the first battery to fail at only a year old. I have installed DBs in our generation 1800s and aside from malfunctioning equipment, there is nothing really that would drain a battery if properly installed. You could have a bad CB unit.
