rake kit angle

Post by cruiser1800 »

Is there a way to tell what rake kit a person may have on a Goldwing trike, 4.5 or 6? A friend needs to rake his Goldwing trike and is afraid a 6 degree kit would put the wheel to far out and look more like a chopper, in his words. Also, would a 6 degree make the front end shimmy more then a 4.5 degree?

Thanks

Unless you knew what you were looking at. it's hard to tell by sight which kit is installed.

Here is just one of the many trike builders out there. http://www.coolcustomtrikes.com/

Have your friend call and speak to Ron, about his concerns and wants. Let a trike expert describe the differences in steering to your friend so he can make a choice for himself.
