trailer wiring
Hopefully someone has encountered this and has a solution. I have a 4 pin connector, plugged my trailer up and checked all of the lights. All lights work, except while I have the turn signal on, and apply the brake. once the brake is applied the lights stop signaling to turn and go to straight brake lights ; once I release the brake the light goes back to blinking. I am thinking that this may require me to redo my trailer lights, but am not sure. The trailer set up worked just fine on my Yamaha Venture, but not on the GW. I did not install the harness on the GW, it was installed when purchased. I did however have to access the rear to replace a fuse that was blown to the tail lights. I checked all other fuses while I had the rear panel off and all were good.

Re: trailer wiring
Normally, GL1800 trailer wiring results in a five wire setup at the bike side, and trailers normally four at the trailer side. This requires a converter box to allow them to work correctly.
Wiring Harness can be found here:

and the converter box can be found here:

Hopefully, reading up on these items will let you know what you might need, and how to go about getting your lights to work.
