GPS buttons sticking on 2013 GL1800.

Post by Ken Ballinger »

Hello. I am finding a hard time with the 5 buttons on the RH panel, used for the GPS programming, sticking in and not coming out again. Sometimes it seems better if I press on the edge of the button, but I need to take it apart to clean and/or lubricate these buttons. Anybody else having this kind of problem?

I have never heard of a bike as new as yours having the sticking button issues. Did someone, by chance, use a spray wax on the areas to try to get them to shine, or maybe spill a cream and sugar Timmies there? You can try some electronic contact spray, under the buttons, to wash them out, while working them. Use lots, as they need to be washed out. I have not had any problems at all and my bike is four years older. I perhaps should have knocked on some wood when saying that, LMAO. Good luck with you're washing. Taking them apart is a lot more work.
It ain't about the destination - it's all about the journey
