I have just purchased a 1800 wing. The previous owner has had a rather bulky load of keys/mobiliser on his key ring and has rubbed
paint off on the tank cover just to the left and below the key entry point of the ignition.
Is there any rubber stick on protector available to protect the paint work.
I have checked many sites but can't find anything suitable.

Thank you for that but not quite what I require. The paint marks are on the curve part of the tank cover just below this key assembly.

If you do not carry so many keys on the ignition key you will not have that paint erosion issue. And, you will not damage your ignition switch over time. I'd recommend only using the key with the remote attached to it.
In the meantime, you can repaint the meter panel. It should be easily removable for painting.
