Re: back rest
I kinda like the one that came with my Ultimate seat, but a lot of guys like the Add On, which does not cause a problem for pillion passengers, or so they say. Kuryakyn's has flat mounting hardware as opposed to Add On's round hardware, and costs more.

Re: back rest
I have the Kuryakyn single post that is easy to remove. The wife doesn't like it. But this is my second one on this bike. The material on the back side tends to want to come unglued. Schroders in Hendersonville made it good. I had a 2012 that did the same thing waited to long to get it replaced. Not sure why mechanic said he had never saw that before.

Re: back rest
I second this. While the backrest that came with my Corbin is a close second, Utopia makes the best backrests.

Re: back rest
I have a Utopia and no regrets. Still new but very comfortable and a great design.

Re: back rest
Utopia is great if you ride 2 up, If you ride solo Markland or Kuryakyn that mount behind the grab rails are also good.

Re: back rest
When I bought my 2012, the previous owner had the Kuryakyn installed. But the bars hurt my wife's legs when she rode with me. So, I bought the Utopia and have had it for about 10 months now. She is much more comfortable with it. Plus, the rest swings down easily, giving me more room to throw my leg over the saddle (I'm in my 60's and not as flexible as I used to be). I also bought the removable mount - so if I want to ride without it (which admittedly is rare), I just pull it up and store it in the trunk. Finally, I found it offers far more adjustment range (it's based on a screw - so basically infinite) and hit my back better than the Kuryakyn. And one one more thing - it matches my factory seats. I'm happy with it.
