Greetings from Australia
I have a 2012 GO 1800 manufactured in March 2012 with dead pixels on the start up, radio and navigation screens. This firstnaccurred at just under 30,000 k. Spoke to Honda Australia who agreed to replace the whole unit for $1,700 plus 10% gst and I also pay for the removal of the old unit and replacement of the new unit. Given the bike spends it's life covered in my shed and has spent the majority of its life parked I find that unreasonable. Additionally the gave me 28 days to decide and then their offer is withdrawn.
I have read the forum regarding the aftermarket lcd screen replacement on a 2008 model. Can anyone tell me if the unit on the 2008 and 2012 are the same model. I have sent a request to Honda Australia requesting that information with no response.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Regards
Garry

Re: 2012 LTD screen
I wish you the best of luck. My 2012 did the same. Started with a few and gradually goy worse. I had purchased the extended warranty. Thank goodness I did. it was all most 3000. I also looked at the LCD removal and replacement that is on you tube and would try that be for I spent the money to have a dealer do it. Once it goes out you lose a lot of info. Not sure about the model being the same.

Re: 2012 LCD screen
Thanks Shep. Honda have me in a corner with no way out. I will have to spend the money to replace it as it will only get worse as you say and the bike will lose value.

Re: 2012 LCD screen
Will do. Honda gave me 28 days to decide to accept their offer of 1700 plus install. I got them to change to 90 days which expires on 30 October. I will leave it until then and get it replaced.
