Cobra 6-6 on a Wing?

Post by Big Tee »

Does anyone know if a Cobra 6-6 exhaust from a 2013 F6B will work on a full size Wing? A guy is trying to sell me one so I want to be sure.

Thanks :)

According to WingStuff and Cobra, they will fit second gen GL1800. That is 2012 to 2017. I would guess that means, no, they will not fit your bike. I am sure, however, that there is a work around if you really want them. Personally, I like my wing quiet, and running like it was engineered to run. To much flow from the exhaust means less back pressure, means run less well.
It ain't about the destination - it's all about the journey

Thanks for your help. Yes I suppose it's probably in the mounting brackets. I also like quite but every now and then I would like to hear her run and wish it came with a loud/quite switch or like the old header caps back in the day! Lol. I have Cobras on my Valkyrie Interstate and can still hear the stereo good as the sound is all behind me. :)

I saw a wing at the Honda Hoot back in 2001 ( I know it's a long time ago) that had a switch on it that when the switch was flipped, it removed a portion of the exhaust and the bike sounded like a muscle car. I'm not sure, cause I have slept several times since then who the manufacturer was. It was quiet, and then WOW, back to quiet.

What do you think of the Vance & Hines exhaust system? I have the intention to buy it in America and deliver it to Slovenia. Since this is not a cheap matter including postage, taxes and customs, I would be grateful for your advice. Surely, your product is much better known to me than I do, because these exhausts are not in stores in Slovenia, nor did I see them on any GoldWing.
Thank you

I had a Vance & Hines exhaust on my GSX-R750. They added some top end power above around 8,000 RPM. They added a LOT of noise - they were very, very loud. I don't know that I would put a set on my Goldwing. What are you looking to achieve?

Hello WingAdmin
In fact, I'm interested in shape and sound. The sound remains the same at low turns, which is good. sound under higher plants does not produce noise as in naked and sport motors, but it sounds more like the sound of a muscle car. I do not think I'm wrong?
I'm sorry in my language, because I'm helping you with a google translator.
