Intercom Issues 2013

I have been having problems with my 2013 intercom. About 50% of the time I can't talk to the passenger. I can hear them but they can't hear me. I can hear the radio also. We have changed cords and purchased new also. Sometimes I will put the helmet on and all is fine then all of a sudden it will go out. This goes out for many miles. I can shut the engine down for a period of time and again sometimes it will come back on and some not. Could I have issues with the main system? Any suggestions? I would like to figure it out as we don't have a dealer around our area that would be able to trace the problem. Thanks!!

Start by switching the helmets around and see if the problem is still with the same helmet or if the problem moved to the other helmet. This will help with where to look further.
