No answer but........ OUCH!!
I know people say we spend too much money on our rides, but I can't hear them when I'm 1000 miles away!

Re: please help transmission trouble video
Same noise my 1500 made. Shift fork is worn and not centering the synchronizer , that's why it's rattling. The synchro fingers won't fully engage the gear causing premature wear. Only fix is a tear down and replace the worn parts. With it being so new with such low mileage maybe your dealer will step up, that should be covered by Honda. If not there is a shop in Florida that specializes in this exact issue and will fix it right and will last forever. I ended up swapping the engine out on my 1500, wasn't worth the time or expense to repair the old engine. Bought a used low mileage engine on eBay for $400 dollars.
I know on the 1800 it's around a 4 thousand dollar fix at the shop. If you can afford to have it repaired I would trailer the bike to Florida and have it fixed right, they will do what Honda won't. I know if I have the issue again on my 1800 I'm done with Goldwings, not going thru that headache again. Can't believe such a nice bike as yours is having that same issue. Sorry

Thanks guys,
I spoke to Greg at Just Wings today.
Looks like back cutting the gears and replacing the forks is the only way to go.

Its a shame to have to do that but it will fix the issue permanently.. How much did he quote you to repair ? If mine ever needs fixing it would be nice to have a ballpark number?

It might be worth a call to Honda. I know the bike is out of warranty but with that low of miles Honda might do something just a good relations to a customer. I thought I read somewhere that Honda changed the gears a few years back, but maybe they didn't.
