Testing THERMISTORS?

Post by gl1800775 »

Hi all, I have a 2008 GL1800 w comfort package that after I had to replace the right handlebar kill switch, which meant removing seat and numerous forward panels, the SEAT HEATERS quit working. Grips are fine.

I'm down to testing:
1) the seat plug itself, male and female side, how do I check this w multimeter? I think this is the problem.
2) testing the THERMISTORS? How and where are they? What setting on the multimeter as I'm no sparky expert...on any of this to be honest....
3) Finally I have access to the HCU

THX a million as this is 3rd day on this! Brian

Go back and recheck your work..And are you sure the grips still work but not the seat? On my 06 I'm sure
I've noticed if the seat is not plugged in correctly the grips don't work. And its also possible to switch the grip
connectors backwards. Then they will not work...

Exactly. About a 99% chance it is something you did when working on it.
