Re: DUMMY QUESTION!
it IS the 3.5 mm jack for the AUX audio input of the radio. plug your phone into it to listen to music that you have on your phone. MOTE: you wont be able to control the music with handle bar controls. just volume.

Re: DUMMY QUESTION!
Fun Fact ... the 2001 Goldwing was the first vehicle to have an audio plug for an MP3 player, or smart phone. The 2nd vehicle was a 2002 Honda Element. Now all cars have them.
Once your smart phone is plugged in and playing music, be sure the audio system is on and then hit the "AUX" button to make music from the smart phone play through the Wing's sound system.

Re: DUMMY QUESTION!
I don't recall if there was an Interstate in 1990. But there was one in 1992 through 1996.GoldWingrGreg wrote: ↑Thu Mar 15, 2018 11:39 pmIn 1990 what did they have to plug into an audio cord ... a portable Sony CD player, or a transistor radio ???

Re: DUMMY QUESTION!
The GL1500 Valkyrie Interstate also had a jack to plug in an external audio source, similar to the GL1500 Goldwing Interstate.

Re: DUMMY QUESTION!
Thank you. Honda touted about it when I bought my first GL1800, and I guess I always assumed that they were talking about the 5th gen and not the 4th genMikeB wrote: ↑Fri Mar 16, 2018 1:40 amI don't recall if there was an Interstate in 1990.
