Fairing Pocket Locked
I recently had the air filter changed and now the right fairing pocket will not open with the key. I suspect the cable was not reattached or has broken. Is there a way to get to lid open without damage or too much disassembly?

Re: Fairing Pocket Locked
Remove the right side trim strip. Then the black piece where the lock is ( one screw). They may not have secured the cable properly on that piece.
You can also reach up to the locking mechanism with a small hook and unlock it that way.

Re: Fairing Pocket Locked
Look over the cable and plastic pieces that lock and unlock the door. My cable and lock mechanism was not working like it should and I replaced it. Got my from from here, https://www.babbittsonline.com. The parts are in the air duct section.the hardest part of replacing it was the little spring that opens the latch. It is LITTLE for big hands.
