Looks like you have a 2012. The bottom of the trunk has a lid tht lifts up and there is a well that it fits into so it doesn't take up any of the trunk space. The 2012 / 2017 is plug and play except for the antenna.

You're welcome. I got my CB back in 2009 and used it on my '08 until I purchased my present '13. If you buy an older CB made for pre 2012's you have to get an adapter to be able to connect the main data cord to your bike's outlet. I think you can get them from Sierra or other such places for about $20. I bought my CB used over on the gl1800riders.com board (classified section) for about $300. You are better off with the OEM antenna.
