Ok guys...I had a battery go completely dead over the winter...the battery was bought in September. I would start the bike occasionally and let it run and warm up. Then, I failed to do so and the battery died. When I went back to the bike, I found the dead battery and fully charged it. Now the engine will crank and crank but will not start...I suspected the fuel pump and relays...changed them...no fix....I am now thinking crank position sensor but I get no lights blinking codes after trying to crank for 10 or 11 seconds.
Does anyone have an idea as to what could have happened?

Can you hear the fuel pump pressure up when you turn on the ignition? Is the kill switch in the "run" position?

I made sure I could hear the pump run when I turned on the key. It runs, then stops. I have cycled the kill switch while cranking the engine. The starter will disengage when I do this.

Try a jump start, if that doesn't work pull the black plastic cover in front of the engine and look for rodent activity.

Have you done a load test on the battery? Just because it's fully charged, does not mean it will hold up under a load.

I haven't done a load test but I have tried jumping it and nothing changes.

Have it load tested. A suspect battery can cause all kinds of strange things to happen. Start simple. If the battery is known to be good, then you can move on to other things.
