Hi all:
I'm new to this forum. I've read many posts and I think it's great! Very informative, well organized info, and just a great group of people! I live in Northern Ontario, Canada, so our riding season is over until at least April. I just purchased an 03 GL1800 and barely got the chance to ride it at all before the nasty weather rolled in. The only issue I noticed thus far is the sticky aftermarket hand grip...will not roll back all the way on its own when I let go of it. I'd like to try and fix it if possible.
Is there a way of pulling it off without damaging it? I know Kuryakyn provides some very powerful glue with their grips. Can it be lubed without removing the grip? Or am I going to have to buy a new pair?
Anyone with any experience with this kind of thing I would sure appreciate some advice.
Thanks much.

It sounds as if you have a problem with the throttle cables and not the grips. Try adjusting the adjustment nuts on the right handlebar first. Then check to see if the cable has been kinked somewhere.

Thanks very much, guys. I really appreciate the help.
I'll give it a try over the winter.

HEADS UP NOTICE - VIRUS WARNING!!! Clicking on the above link brought me to the techtips screen for about 2 seconds, after which the screen changed to a differing screen about Honda cars, and at the exact same moment my anti-virus program blocked a known type of virus attack from that website. Here is a screen pic from my AV program about the blocked virus attack, with the URL address of the attempted attacker.FlyBoy2121 wrote:I gtomei
