Fork interchange compatibility GL1800

Hello, i recently bought my third Goldwing, also my first 1800, a 2007 model in black, loaded but minus ABS. It came with front crash damage so forks, fender, left cyln hd covers are on shopping list. Comparing fork OEM PNs online, there appears to be three periods of fork parts interchangability, 2001-2006, 2007-2012, 2013-2017. Question, would a set of 2016 both complete fork legs fit a 2007 (triple clamps, fnt axel, brakes)? From pictures and some pn compatibility, it appears they might, but perhaps someone has tried it? Thanks for any responses.
