Please verify your #29 code. While it is cranking and not starting, put the side stand down and see if the FI light blinks.

Also try flipping your eng. kill switch on the handle bars back and forth and then see if it will start.

I’m thinking it’s a 19 and mice have been chewing on the CKP sensor wiring.GoldWingrGreg wrote: ↑Thu Jun 21, 2018 2:31 pm Please verify your #29 code. While it is cranking and not starting, put the side stand down and see if the FI light blinks.

29 ... 19 ... it will sure make diagnosis easier if you knew. You might want to pull the shelter and air box looking for more mice evidence.

Re: gl1800 not starting no spark
Hello my name is Robert
I own a 1990 Gl 1500 and a 2006 Gl 1800. I handle all my own repairs. My full time job is an Electrician.
So to start with you should get a factory service manual for your wing make sure the schematics a re included. So If you are getting a fault code 11, through 17 you have a injector connection problem. the symptom for this problem is the wing will not start.
The MIL code 29 is -Loose or poorly connected idle air control (IAC) valve connector. - Open or short circuit in IAC valve wire. - Faulty Air control valve. Symptoms: Engine stalls, hard to start, rough idling.
Good luck

Re: gl1800 not starting no spark
Due yourself a favor, and replace the harness. I know they cost money, but the liability factor of something like dying in the middle of an intersection with an oncoming car is to great. A professional repair would include a harness. If it was a warranty issue, Honda would not want the liability, and a harness would be the repair.icwingman wrote: ↑Wed Aug 01, 2018 9:25 pmtheres no more plastic on bike except saddle bags, found extensive damage to include harness to injectors and rubber chewed. 38000 miles. will start repair soon live in fl and might have to ac garage. lolGoldWingrGreg wrote: ↑Wed Jun 27, 2018 4:37 am 29 ... 19 ... it will sure make diagnosis easier if you knew.
