Check relay 17, the horn call relay. This is the relay that the trunk lock/unlock system uses to beep the horn. Pull it out and see if the problem goes away. If so, then replace it.rohny brimstone wrote: ↑Tue Jul 03, 2018 7:22 am Hi I have a 2005 1800 w 122k miles.while out riding last weekend my horn started beeping on every crack in the road.pulled fuse till I got home.now no horn or turn signals.swapped out relays.cleaned switchs w contact cleaner.any ideas where to start?

Check for pinched wires going under the left handle bar on the left side or where the switch harness is clamped to the fork bridge. Sometimes the harness gets pinched where the "under-bar cover" screws to the handle bar.

Check the trunk hinge harness on the right side. If the right wires are broken, you could get a short that will simulate the horn blowing with the Call button on the fob.

Did you reinsert the Horn/Turn fuse into the correct slot, is it blown? You swapped the Horn Call relay, but did you swap the Horn/Turn relay

Re: Strange eletrical issue
Ok, that means you have power through the Horn/Turn relay. The Horn circuit doesn’t have anything else in it that would kill the Horn function other than the button switch, wiring, and the connectors under the right fairing pocket in the white frame. This area also has connections for the turn signal switch, so this is where I would look next for corrosion and/or a bad connection.
