clutch lever and cruise control
08 GL1800 clutch lever is not returning fully. there is a little free play in the clutch lever to prevent cruise control from engaging. if I push out on clutch lever cruise will engage. If I remove my fingers from the lever, wind will push in clutch lever enough to disengage cruise. Is there a spring that hold the lever out, or is a master cylinder rebuild in order?

I would suspect, with a 2008 bike, that all you need is a clutch flush. If that doesn't do it, then maybe look for more drastic measures.

Re: clutch lever and cruise control
My thoughts:
- are your levers OEM ???
- have your levers and pivot pins been inspected, cleaned, and lubed as needed (basically every 8,000 miles)
- has your clutch fluid been service (per Honda's requirements replaced every 12k)

Re: clutch lever and cruise control
the problem was a little brass bushing in the clutch lever that was worn

Re: clutch lever and cruise control
The brass bushing commonly wears form lack of maintenance. If it was that bad, the lever's bore, where the brass bush pivots in, is probably galled. If so, be sure to replace the lever. Also, inspect, clean, and lube the front brake lever too. The lube Honda wants used for the lever is Silicone paste.
