Welcome to the board. Check your kill switch? Do you get the FI light on for a couple of seconds when you turn on the key?

About the most common cause of a no start with these bikes is a weak or dead battery. The battery must be able to maintain about 11 volts while starting in order to power both the starter and the ECM which controls the firing. With only clicking, your battery may be too weak to even turn the bike over.

I agree and a lot of the time the low beam headlight relay click is mistaken for the sound of a starter relay clicking when it’s not. The best way to determine if the battery is the issue is to watch the voltage on its terminals as you try to start it. If it maintains at least 11V, the engine should start. If it drops below 10.3V the engine will not start, but might spin. Anything less and the battery is toast.themainviking wrote: ↑Mon Sep 10, 2018 6:25 am About the most common cause of a no start with these bikes is a weak or dead battery. Slooowwwlly push in the starter button, when cold the contacts only meet half way along the buttons travel.
DO THE FOLLOWING AT YOUR OWN RISK. Ham fisted shoving in of wires, oops I slipped, starter motor made me jump etc etc.
Remove the LH side panel, unplug the red 2 pin 'Starter Relay A' connector.
Switch on IGN.
Touch 12v to the Red/Yellow wire pin side of the connector that goes to the back of the bike, if bike starts., could be....

If at first you don't succeed, hide the evidence.

Easy test for the starter button switch is to turn on the key and the radio, push the button, if the radio mutes, the switch is OK. The same voltage that triggers the relay from this switch also triggers the mute function in the audio unit for quiet backing up in reverse.

When the bike goes ticketa ticketa ticketa, and the dash lights flash, you most probably have a low battery situation.
I am going to get one of those newfangled small jump-starter packs that I can carry on the bike.
