Starter Gear
Sometimes I hear some funny clicking noise on my 2001 Goldwing GL1800 and it gets louder after shutting the engine off and while the engine RPM's are dropping from idle. I was wondering could it be the starter gear that hasn't disengaged. It doesn't do it all the time just once in a while but I'm not sure how to pin point the noise. Any suggestions and has anyone else experienced this situation.

Re: Starter Gear
That's a mighty short time to listen to a noise. No, there is no starter gear to disengage, it is a roller clutch.jayhawker wrote: ↑Tue Oct 23, 2018 6:53 pm Sometimes I hear some funny clicking noise on my 2001 Goldwing GL1800 and it gets louder after shutting the engine off and while the engine RPM's are dropping from idle. Mileage ???
PM me your email address, and I'll send you a vid. You can compare the noise in it to yours.
