I have a 2007 GL1800 with 120,000 miles on it. A few weeks ago my horn would sound when I opened the trunk. Now why is a horn wire running to the trunk I wonder? Well any way I looked into the wire bundle that runs next to the trunk hinges and found several broken wires. About the time I looked at the wire's the GPS/radio display went blank. Now no GPS, no radio and the control buttons on the tank don't light up any more.

After repairing the wires I still don't have any of those working. Radio does not work, GPS screen is blank and the dash/tank lights are still out. I checked the fuses and they are all good.

Next I'll be taking off the top shelter to see if somehow the wire horness has dislodged it's self.

Anyone ever had these issues before me?

Check fuse 25 & 31 again, better yet just replace them.

The control unit to "call" or honk your Wing's horn in a parking lot using your remote, or to lock your rear storage compartments, sits between the trunk lid and its inner inner. The broken hinge wires most likely caused your horn to honk.
