Reverse switch sticking
I have a 2003 gl1800 and my reverse switch keeps sticking in. Has anyone else had this issue, if so how did you fix it?

Re: Reverse switch sticking
I have found the best way is to replace the switch pack. This is a few hundred dollars but you get all new switches. You can carefully take it apart and clean the dirty dried grease out of it with electronic cleaner, re-grease it with a light coat of lithium grease, just be very careful the little pieces don't go flying when you open it. I don't recommend WD40, it is for displacing water and will do a fair job polishing stainless steel, not for cleaning switches.

Re: Reverse switch sticking
Try using CRC contact cleaner. Spray it in the switch and work it a little bit. If that doesn't do it, you may need to open it up and clean it. There are many posts on this type of problem throughout this forum.

Did you fix it and what did you do?
It's Not good to leave your post hanging as others read through posts later on to fix their problems.
