Improve-Upgrade Audio

Post by KingCharls »

Hello,

I want to improve the audio on my Goldwing and looking for recommendations.
I would like to star changing speakers, I found J&M Performance Speakers and Show Chrome Speaker

what is better, could you suggest any other recommendations?

Regards,
Carlos

I put Polk DB501s in the rear and DB651s in the front. Really enhanced the sound, but need more volume to get the output the Honda speakers gave me.

I believe you can put the DB501s in both front and back in 2001-2005 bikes
It ain't about the destination - it's all about the journey

Yes Polk are far better speakers than J&M or Add-on/Show Chrome could ever think of being.

I put a set of J&M speakers in my 1500, fronts and was not impressed. I should have tried the Polks. Yes different bikes but just my .02 on J&M speakers.

651 is too big for the 2001 he has.
KingCharls didn't say but his profile shows he has a 2001.

I put the 651's in the front of my 07 and had to do a little speaker metal trim modifying. The speakers are better than oem but still need more power behind it to push out the sound. I have done anything about that.
It's not what you buy, it's what you build.

Just so you know....in case you don't....

The 01-05 dash has different size capabilities in regards to speakers that can be fit than the 06-2017 models can. The 651 is too big for the original poster's question. No he didn't state what wing he has(bad on his part), but look at his profile to see he has an 01.
