Looking for long highway pegs for my 2006 1800

Post by biggestbrian01 »

I just haven't been able to find a set of large pad long extension highway pegs. the ones I found had bad revue's.

XKH Group Motorcycle Chrome Large Footpegs Mounting Kit For Honda GoldWing VTX1300 Shadow Valkyrie Triumph Road Glide Ultra FLTRU Equipped with 1 inch (1") 25mm Front Engine Guard Frame Tube

Anybody know where I can find a quality set or someone got a set for sale? I'm 7 foot tall and need them way out to get comfortable. I will settle for a set that is shorter as long as they wont break. Any input would be appreciated.

I highly recommend that you consider strongly the Mick-O-Pegs.

one of the two best items I bought for my 1800, right next to the Madstad windscreen.

Another vote for MOP. Contact them with your information for a Custom Comfort Analysis, http://www.ridingiswonderful.com/page5.php their model of KA or GF sounds possible to me but see how they respond with as these may not work on a GL1500.

I have been using Kuryakyn's Ergo II Peg system for quite a long time now. I have the 2 1/2 inch, the four inch and the six inch arms, both pegs and boards, and one adapter set to go from the original arms to a Harley style peg. All together I have spent a bunch, probably $400 on all of it to get what I needed, finally, for my comfort. I am the other direction from long tall big big very large Brian. I am vertically challenged by comparison.

I finally got comfortable with the six inch arms, reaching towards me, with the ergo pegs for a Harley. By all means, check out the Mick O Pegs, but also have a look at the Kuryakyn Ergo II system with the six inch arms, and you could use them in the forward direction rather than as I have them, in the backward pointing direction. This would extend the pegs about 12 inches further forward than I have them and just might do the trick for you.

This allows you two options. Maybe someone else will chip in with more. Good luck Brian.

I got the Kuryakyn Ergo II highway boards. Wasn't comfortable with the position so I got the shorter bars and still was not happy with the position. My problem is that after 2 hip replacements I can't go that wide without hurting. The whole system came off the bike and now sits in a box in the garage. If there is any interest I'll let it go for $150 plus shipping.

I'm in the process of making a set of brackets to mount highway pegs in a position that works for me. Good luck in your search.

On the Mick-O-Pegs,

it is best to call them on the phone, and after their interview, you will get the best comfort available.
