Rear Wheel Fits All Years?
I recently upgraded from the 1500 to the 1800 and I have a lead on a very fair priced rear wheel to have as a spare. My question is are the rear wheels the same on all years of 1800? Mine is an 08 and the wheel I'm looking at came off of an 05 which was triked.

I'm not sure about the newer bikes, but that should fit yours no problem. Are you running a 180/60-16 on the rear? If so, you're golden.
By the way, Thanks for your service.

Re: Rear Wheel Fits All Years?
Thanks for the info Mountain Rider, and than you for your service as well. Yes I'm running the OEM 180/60/16 on the rear for now. I may switch to a 180/70/16 in the future; my Goldwing mechanic told me that the taller sidewall ratio will correct the speedo error that the 1800's are supposed to have. I don't know why I didn't think to do this before, but I went to Cyclemax's website and looked up the part numbers for an 05 & 08 rear wheel in their OEM Parts section, and sure enough, identical part numbers, so I'm going to go ahead and pick up the wheel I found and have it as a spare setup.
