GL1800 rear end

Post by BiKenG »

A couple of questions I hope the knowledgeable can answer.

Did the 1800's Swing-Arm change at all until the all new 2018 model? Or did it basically remain the same for all the 1800s?

Likewise the Final Drive Unit wheel mount. They are all 5 stud mounting, but did the spec stay the same the whole time? So did the stud PCD and/or the offset of the wheel (i.e. offset of wheel mount surface to centre of wheel rim) ever change?

I'm thinking there was no change in wheel mount spec, but also then, is it the same as the NRX1800 Rune? Specifically, could a Rune Rr. wheel be used on a GL1800?

Oops, 3 questions. Anyway, hope someone can help.

Just found out that the Rune wheel will fit the Wing and looks like the mount/offset remained the same. But...

Still a question of any changes to the 1800 Swing-arm during that model's run?

They are all basically the same from 01 to 2017. Minor changes that don't prevent interchanging them.

Not only a complete answer, but also the one I wanted to hear. Perfect. :D

Thank you.
