GL18000 rear brake lock-up

Post by hotwire »

Hey guys, has anyone had the issue of their 1800 rear brakes locking up even after the recalls have been done? I have, had to pay for the third secondary master cylinder, fighting with Honda to be reimbursed since safety recalls never end, but local dealer made me pay. My rear brake has locked up three times since they installed this one, they are claiming contaminated fluid , lack of proper service, or dirt in rear pedal master cylinder. But it's been flushed and bled twice in a month, (by the local dealer) I'm almost ready to take up another brand......Oh, I know....
Honda's putting me off, as well, or at least, it feels that way, I just worry about this happening on a mountain switchback curve or in the rain...
Thanks if you have something to share.

Your ABS controller may be at fault, Did your dealer check it?

Your dealer is giving you the run around, not Honda. Claiming contaminated fluid? They were supposed to flush it when they did the recall. Call Honda customer service, not the dealer.
