Source for Goldwing bolts and screws
I'm going through a previously owned 2003 GL1800 and finding many bolts, screws etc, that are the wrong size with a mix of slot head, hex head, socket head etc. I would like to get everything back to spec. but looking for replacements is not going well. Babbitt's and others have them, but at $3.00 EACH it can get quite expensive. Anybody know of a source that might sell in bulk packs, like 10 in a pack, for a reasonable price?

You can try looking through Ebay. Just do a search for gl1800 hardware.

For some of the truly Honda special fasteners, I go to Partzilla. Things that are more standard either a local industrial hardware store or McMaster Carr.

Re: Source for Goldwing bolts and screws
A short answer is no !!! I no of nowhere that sells packets of 10 OEM Honda bolts. Various online suppliers will sell them at different prices. For example, some will round everything up to the nearest dollar while others sell them at a reduced percentage from list price.controlu wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2019 2:54 pm I'm going through a previously owned 2003 GL1800 and finding many bolts, screws etc, that are the wrong size with a mix of slot head, hex head, socket head etc. I would like to get everything back to spec. but looking for replacements is not going well. In my case, outside of a Honda distribution center, I have the largest GL1800 parts inventory in the world. And you are correct about many fasteners being incorrect on 5th gens. Of the over 1,300 5th gen part numbers that I stock, it mostly has to do with having the correct screws, bolts, grommets, rivets, and push-pins to reassemble one back to stock. In most cases, one thing that I've learned that is for certain, Honda is a genius when designing plastic that lasts forever; however, once incorrect fasteners are used, or missing, the integrity of the "whole" quickly looses its strength and plastic begins to break. Therefore, I use all OEM fasteners, and would recommend that you do too. The below web page does not "roundup" their pricing; however, they provide absolutely the worst support and poor packaging over all others.

Also, when it says "in stock" or "will ship in 3-days," do not believe it ... so beware, the cheapest price is not always the best place to get stuff.

I'm in Ft. Myers, not too far away. When you are done with her, send her down.
