Keep in mind the bike is very heavy - applying a concentrated 1000 lb load to your garage ceiling joists is not going to have great results.

I can't see when using a a sling and hoist would be a good choice for a wing but I see nothing wrong with that engine change setup. Those pressurized gas tanks and sideways concrete blocks are mighty strong. Handy milk crate is ready to hold the car up as well. What's the worst that could happen?
