2009 honda wing gl 1800 reverse issue

I have found on my 09 wing that every so often the reverse light on the dash will flicker,when i activate from neutral to reverse, it also has a slight grind in the engine gearbox, im thinking maybe dirty contact switch and the reverse is not fully disengaging. Thoughts???.

Try lubing the reverse actuator cables at the rear of the engine on the right side and cycling it in and out of reverse a bunch on the centerstand. Triflow works good for this.
