Hello, Bought a new 2016 GL1800 comfort audio package last year. Dealer had about 12 still in the box. Third GL I have owned. I am about 5'8" and have that height challenged issue! I am tired of wearing platform boots so I am looking for direction for a seat replacement/tweeking. Is there a vendor that has a replacement seat, mine is heated. I have heard about custom guys tearing out some foam and gaining maybe 1"-2" inches. If a replacement seat is available, will it still have the looks of the original seat? Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Ultimate Seats makes a lower than the stock seat called the mid rider seat and they offer heated option. Contact them as I think they used to offer a low rider for even shorter legged folks.
As to cutting the foam in yours might cut the wires for the heaters as the wires are molded in the foam near the top.
There is also available a rear shock mount to lower the stance along with raising the front fork in the tree to level the bike.
