Back rest

Post by Bluedude54 »

I have a 2010 GL 1800 Audio Comfort. I'm thinking about installing a back rest. Anyone have suggestion on any particular one ? I'm a little apprehensive about cutting the seat. Especially with mine being heated. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

These are the two most common that do not require cutting the seat. I had the Kuryakyn one at one time, till I replaced the seat and got the backrest that came with the Ultimate Seat.

I had tried the Kuryakyn backrest on my 2008 and really did not find it very comfortable..just me, but I sold it after about a week of trying it...just my $.02....YMMV!

Yeah that's my worry too, spend all that money and not like it. I do not have a bad back so to speak...but on those long rides it would be a bit more comfortable. If I wanted ultimate comfort I guess I would drive an RV.
