Got a nice chromed kickstand that came as spare with bike ( purchased on Sat. 07/18) Looks a lot prettier than the stock black one.
Not being a wrench head of note, is it a process to remove the old one and put on this chromed one ? worried about wiring/spring issues etc.
I did do an oil change on the bike on 07/18 and was a pleasure-took about 1/2 hr...PO luckily had not over tightened either the drain plug nor the filter-both came off in a snap.

Re: Fitting new kickstand
Easy way to work with the KS spring...with the bike on the centerstand, lower the kickstand to extend the spring. Use 6-7 quarters or quarter sized washers and insert into the spring. This will allow you to easily remove the spring and replace without trying to stretch the spring to get it off and back on!

Agreed...even *this* guy could do it.
NOTE: No, it's *not* a Goldwing, but the process is quite similar.
