Where is the ECM located on 2001 model?

Under the radio buttons that is between your legs. To get to it, the seat, front pockets, and shelter must come off.

I'm scratching my memory here, but I believe it is the same for all 5th gen with the exception of some airbaggers. The ECM on airbaggers between 2006-10 sits between the headlamp assemblies.
