Radio antenna

Post by Tomainzy »

Hi all :D

Still loving the return to two wheels but.....

I have zero radio channel's and have checked the antenna connection under the seat, which is good. This just leaves the Radio end as a culprit. Is there any easy way of accessing it without having to spend ages stripping the Wing down?

No, the shelter has to be removed to get to the radio wiring. Check the two plugs and the antenna connection to the radio.

Thanks Bill. It shows as finding stations but no reception so, must assume it's the antenna. Previous owner had butchered the Garmin cabling so, not looking forward to seeing the mess.

If you don't already have one, get a service manual before you start disassembly of the plastic.

Before going too far, unthread the antenna from the base, clean the threads, and thread it back in. That helped me a lot.
