Only if you change out the dash cluster. If you do that, there is no way to reset the ODM.

That's interesting. I can change from miles to kilometers in the settings, but when I exited the setup menu and returned to main display it still showed miles. Hmmm

Hi,
I went to Peter's workshop and he did the conversion. It cost me 75€ in 2011.
He dismantled the meter and took it to an adjoining room. He wouldn't let me see what he was doing. In fifteen minutes he came out with the meter and reinstalled it on the bike. That was it.
I think the meter can be mailed to Peter and he returns it with the correction made.

If it's like every electronic gauge I've ever seen, there are little solder pads on the circuit board, and you either bridge them with solder, or cut the trace (if they are already connected) to change the meter. It takes just a couple of minutes, as long as you know which ones to do.

Re: Change from miles to km and farenheit to celsius
Don't have a temp gauge incorporated in the dash/travel computer on my '85 Limited Edition, but can change from the default setting of Kms (Canadian requirement) to miles with the push of a button on the travel computer. It does reset to Kms when I restart. Good function to have if travelling through the US. In the US the default setting is miles and can be switched to Kms. When this is done, all functions related to the trip functions - distance, etc, and fuel management are changed as well. Has an oil temp and pressure setting built in. Would have been nice if Honda had kept these functions.
