Front suspension

Post by farmer148 »

I started finally working on the front suspension of a 2016 goldwing. I have both shocks pulled out and was checking the action of the shocks. The left one when I put it against the floor and actuate it acts as if the shock part of it doesn’t work and yet when i depress the anti dive valve it locks it up and keeps it from moving. The right one acts if the shock portion of it is working. Shouldn’t both shocks work the same when the anti dive valve isn’t actuated? Seems like a unbalanced system the way it is.

Definitely not right the way they are.

How long since they have been serviced? Seals, bushings and fork oil.

Your antidive valve is clogged up.

I bought it with 10000 miles on it. I would think it has never anything done to it because everything looks as if it still stock. Nothing added or changed on it.

I've done some digging and see that you are new here. Welcome to the forum.
I see that you already started a post on your front end suspension harshness. This should have been added to that rather than starting another post. To keep all the information together on your suspension problems.
