Hey all! just picked up a 2009 Honda Goldwing with the Navigation System and Airbag. I noticed that the screen was starting to show the common signs of failure so I purchases a new LCD unit from china and began the process of switching the screens. Before attempting to fix the issues the navigation worked perfectly. After successfully swapping over to the new LCD panel I ran into the problem that the screen turns on but remains solid white. Thinking it was possibly a defective new screen I switched back to the old LCD panel and the problem persisted (shown below).
Troubleshooting attempted so far
- Unplug battery for 20 minutes and reconnect
- Checked all fuses
- Checked screen and dash connections
- Checked connections on Nav computer in the trunk
- Checked connections for Nav computer under seat
- Unplugged and re connected the screen with the bike turned off and to ACC
Battery Voltage is at 12.5V with bike off and at 14.3V while running the screen functions in neither scenario. Any help with this problem would be much appreciated. Thanks!
2009 Navigation Screen stays on a blank white screen and fails to display any information.

Greetings,
Did you ever find a solution to this? I just found myself in the same situation.

If you search here, you can find this issue. As I recall it happens when the wrong screen is used. It is the same basic screen, but the part number is off just a bit to indicate that the wiring pinout is different. I believe it damages a board that drives the screen. I don't know if there was a fix, or not.

Chuck, did this happen to you? Did you replace the screen and end up with a white screen?clgrimm519 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 8:14 pm Greetings,
