Does anyone have a writeup on rebuilding forks on 2008 GL 1800. Mine are starting to leak

I just last week rebuilt my forks (2nd time in 73,000 miles). Basically you need to remove the forks from the bike and replace the internal bushings, fork seals and dust cap. I had also, on my first rebuild, replaced stock springs with Progressive Springs. It’s a couple hour process to complete…not really difficult, but you need to know the torque settings for re assembly. If you don’t have the Service Manual..I will try to send the specific pages for the forks rebuild. I also disabled the Anti-dive.

I have also used the Seal Mate with good results...but there are times that a rebuild is necessary. There are wearable bushing in the fork that will eventually need replacing. Did mine first time at 20,000 miles and now again at 70,000 miles.

Might give sealmate a try. Leak is very minimal right now
