No electrical power
I am working on a 2005 GL1800. My friend brought it over so I could change out the alternator and some other maintenance items. The bike had a audio amp installed and rather large wire running from the battery to the amp. That is now removed and all the other associated wiring. The alternator was changed and the bike was started and ran fine. I removed the top shelter to remove excess wiring and clean the air filter. All of that is completed, shelter back in place all connectors mated, only ones not connected are side panel connectors. The bike is now dead with the ignition switch on, no lights of any kind. 12.5 volts at the battery. I checked voltage at the 100 amp fuse and do not have any voltage. I have battery voltage at the 70 amp fuse. I have pulled the 100 amp fuse and checked continuity and it is good along with the 70 amp fuse. Looking at the wiring diagram the 100 amp fuse gets it power from the battery.

Re: No electrical power
Step through the wiring with your meter. Especially at the connections. Check the wire, terminal, post, etc. I'm sure you will find a corroded connection that needs a good cleaning. Probably at the battery or close to it.

Re: No electrical power
I found that I had left the ignition connector unplugged. Connected and now it fires right up. Thanks for your help.

That will do it. The nut that connects the seat to the handlebars can be responsible for all kinds of issues.
