I have (for a few weeks) a 2016 GL1800, it has heated seats, and I thought that similarly to my ex K1200LT it also had a heated passenger backrest, but I tried to use the seat heating and the backrest does not heat up.
Is there a malfunction or does the backrest have no heating?
Many thanks for the answers.

Re: Heated seat (and backrest?)
The backrest is heated. There is a connector on the rear of the back rest in the upper right quadrant of the backrest.
The backrest comes off with the removal of the two screws that are accessed with the truck lid open. Remove the screws and lift up and forward on the backrest.

Also, on the US spec bikes, the pillion has their own control knob. I have found that you need to be seated to really feel the heat, not just placing your hand on the surface.MikeB wrote: ↑Sun Oct 17, 2021 12:40 pm The backrest is heated.
